Meanwhile, in Moscow Russia’s first anthropomorphic robot, AIdol, had a much-publicized debut at a technology fair. Just seconds into its debut, the new robot crashed to the ground.
The Louvre Museum, one of the world’s most recognized cultural landmarks, was the scene of a meticulously planned robbery that left authorities scrambling for answers. Eyewitnesses reported that several masked individuals entered the museum and made off with valuable items before law enforcement could respond. The museum later announced its closure and even before the museum returned the statues, the museum asserted that it was dedicated to visitor safety as its top priority.
In Moscow, hope and optimism soon turned to shame and humiliation. AIdol, the cute anthropomorphic robot that was widely lauded for its cutting-edge capabilities, fell flat – literally – just minutes after its official unveiling. King Charles III of the United Kingdom, and Pope Leo XIV, united in this urgent call. Their simultaneous joint prayer on the ground in the Vatican, therefore, became an extraordinary symbol. It was the first moment since the Reformation that such high-level leaders prayed together—a Lutheran and a Catholic. It represented an important gesture of goodwill and trust-building between their previously-warring faith communities.

In Bulgaria, torrential flooding has left at least three people dead. These floodwaters have destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes with profound impact on families, communities, and the nation. Among the dead were two rescue workers who heroically tried to save people unable to flee as waters surged.
