Suzlon Partners with Yanara to Advance Renewable Energy in India

Suzlon Energy Limited founded by the great visionary Tulsi Tanti is creating ripples in the renewable energy sector. It has recently won its second FDRE contract – for 153 megawatts (MW) – in Barmer, Rajasthan. This project marks an exciting and important partnership with Yanara. They are experts at creating cutting edge hybrid renewable projects that integrate solar, wind, and energy storage technologies. Together, they are driving India’s energy transition and contributing toward achieving the nation’s ambitious target of 500 gigawatts (GW) of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.

Under these contracts Suzlon will supply advanced wind turbines to Yanara’s FDRE projects. By joining together in this way, the two companies hope to bring about a cleaner and more efficient energy landscape throughout all of India. Their joint work so far has ranged from Maharashtra to Rajasthan, and is a testament to the promise that this burgeoning field has to offer.

Strong Commitment to Renewable Energy

Suzlon has established itself as a leader in India’s wind energy sector, boasting over 2.3 GW of installed capacity in Rajasthan alone. It’s a small company that has carefully and steadily developed its reputation during its more-than-30-year-old life, gaining the respect and credibility that trust creates. In April 2025, Suzlon received its biggest single order for 378 MW of wind energy from NTPC Green Energy. This latest accomplishment only deepened its niche in the market.

Girish Tanti, vice-chair of Suzlon, concluded by stressing the need for partnerships to accelerate the renewable energy transition. He stated:

“With 30-plus years of trust, Suzlon leads India’s wind energy sector, while Yanara develops hybrid projects across APAC. Our work together now spans Maharashtra to Rajasthan, highlighting our technology, solutions, and customer trust. Repeat orders like this demonstrate the strength of our partnership.”

This commitment further solidifies Suzlon’s position as an industry leader. This is a testament to the company’s capacity to deliver mega projects that will help India pave its way to renewable energy leadership.

Yanara’s Vision for Hybrid Projects

Yanara is currently building a grid-scale portfolio of hybrid renewable projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to bring together the best technologies available to develop productive energy solutions that help communities grow sustainably and prosper. Jerome Ortiz, CEO of Yanara, highlighted the collaborative nature of their work with Suzlon:

“At Yanara, we are developing pioneering projects across Asia-Pacific to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels. The multi-technology nature of our portfolio demands trusted partners with the capability to deliver at scale; Suzlon exemplifies that strength.”

Through their work, Yanara hopes to instill innovation and reliability to each project while continuing to focus on sustainability.

Future Endeavors and Accolades

Additionally, Suzlon has recently won new orders with Yanara. Further, the company claims to be working on large scale engineering, procurement and construction projects in Rajasthan, with a cumulative capacity of 791 MW. The firm’s superlative success is highlighted by winning three Power Technology Excellence Awards in 2025. These awards are a testament to its innovation leadership in smart microgrids and distributed renewables.

To that end, both Suzlon and Yanara are deeply committed to aiding India’s goal of universal energy access, working together on their shared collaborative projects. Combined, they’re creating a new model for inclusive economic development with renewable energy at its core.
