Ib vogt Concludes Sale of Three Irish Solar Projects for $272 Million

Ib Vogt, a major player in international solar energy, has finalized the divestment of a portfolio. This new portfolio includes three solar photovoltaic projects located on the island of Ireland. This deal worth at least €230 million ($271.7 million) is a major breakthrough for the company. It further highlights the company’s dedication to extending its footprint with investments in renewable energy.

The portfolio includes a truly remarkable total capacity of 272 megawatt-peak (MWp). It includes the Gaskinstown project in County Meath with a capacity of 94.7 MWp, the Rathnaskilloge project in County Waterford at 107.7 MWp, and the Clonin North project in County Offaly, which has 69.4 MWp. These projects are purposely located throughout three counties on the Emerald Isle, showcasing the area’s exemplary potential for sustainable energy advancement.

Under the Irish CFD scheme, the Gaskinstown and Rathnaskilloge projects reached their commercial operation dates (COD) in August and September 2025, respectively. These projects, by December 2025, were sold off to international institutional investors. Through Ireland’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) 2, each project has locked in a 15-year capacity agreement. This is demonstrative of the government’s unyielding determination to enhance and drive more renewable energy projects.

Andreas Schell, CEO of ib vogt, added that they are pleased to see the closing of these transactions. Secondly, he stressed how consistently economically sustainable infrastructure is key to attracting institutional capital, even in the tough current market environment.

“We are pleased to complete these Irish transactions, which demonstrate that economically sustainable infrastructure continues to attract institutional capital even in challenging market conditions. The energy transition will only succeed if projects deliver financial rigour alongside climate impact, and this portfolio shows our ability to create assets that generate durable value for investors, communities, and Ireland’s decarbonisation goals simultaneously.” – Andreas Schell, ib vogt CEO

Rest assured, these solar projects use advanced state-of-the-art technologies specifically designed to maximize efficiency and minimize environmental footprint. Combined, they are projected to reduce nearly 70,250 tons of CO2 emissions annually. A transition towards more sustainable mobility will be critical to ensuring that Ireland meets its climate commitments.

In July 2025, ib vogt was able to close 4.49 billion pesos (approx. $80 million USD) in green project financing. HSBC delivered this financing to help fund the Tantangan solar power facility in the Philippines. This all adds up to more proof of ib vogt’s continued push to diversify its global renewable energy portfolio.
