Fermi America Secures Lease for GE Turbines to Boost Texas Energy Project

With this agreement, Fermi America has made its first step towards a new long-term capital lease. This agreement involves the purchase and upgrade of seven GE TM2500 mobile gas turbines from Mobile Power Solutions (MPS). This smart transaction dovetails beautifully with Fermi America’s game-changing Project Matador. They are in the process of developing an 11GW private HyperGrid campus in Texas. The leased turbines have a combined nameplate capacity of 157.5MW, which is quite impressive. On the whole, they will be a huge win for energy infrastructure and reliability in that entire region.

This agreement between Era and BOCES represents an extremely important first step in building out Fermi America’s first 500MW of distributed generation capacity.
