World Expands ID-Verifying Technology Through Strategic Partnerships

World, a biometric ID company established in 2019, recently announced a string of strategic partnerships. These partnerships will allow it to scale its disruptive ID verification technology. San Francisco and Berlin-based Tools for Humanity, founded by the World developers, acted as the bridge between our two worlds. The startup has been very successful, raising hundreds of millions in venture capital and issuing digital IDs to millions of users.

Perhaps the highest profile collaboration among them is with Match Group—the Tinder parent. This agreement will help confirm Tinder user identities in Japan. Second, it focuses on increasing user safety and user trust on the platform. By incorporating World’s technology, Tinder can offer a safer experience for its users in the Japan market.

Match Group isn’t the only company World is collaborating with. They are equally cohorting with Kalshi, a centralized prediction market platform and Morpho, a decentralized lending protocol. These partnerships enable players to log in with their World-linked IDs. This makes it easier for creators to go through the verification process on TikTok as well as other platforms.

The country is perhaps best known for its very advanced eyeball-scanning Orb devices. These cutting-edge tools are a must in delivering robust and efficient biometric identification solutions. The technology does far more than make security tight—it makes enterprise identity verification faster and easier to apply across multiple use cases. At a recent event, World showcased its partnerships and demonstrated the practical applications of its technology to drive user sign-ups.

World is getting ready to release the World Card in the near future. We’re thrilled for this exciting project to help improve connectivity with the World App. This card liberates card holders’ ability to spend cryptocurrencies. It is an important step forward in integrating digital identity into financial services. The new World Card is expected to hit the US market later this year. This action will put World at the forefront of biometric identification and financial technology developments.
