Tubi Expands Content Library with Popular YouTube Series

Tubi, the streaming service owned by Fox, announced on Wednesday the launch of a new program that introduces content from popular YouTubers. This new expansion marks the largest development of Tubi’s growing library of content. Perhaps more importantly, it aims to reach a younger demographic with an extensive library of videos from widely popular creators.

The new initiative features more than 500 videos of episodic content with six top YouTubers. Tubi is excited to work with these creators to leverage the YouTube platform’s vast, engaged audience. According to a recent report by Nielsen, YouTube now represents 12.5% of all TV viewership. Tubi, the most widely adopted FAST at the moment, only accounts for 2.2% of TV viewership, showing the opportunity for growth among this demographic.

Tubi is quickly expanding their programming slate with more series, series from diverse creators. One notable addition is Kinigra Deon, who adds her popular show, “The World Didn’t End When I Was 16,” to the podcast stable. Other highlighted series are “Vampire Siblings,” “College Life” and Mythical Entertainment’s “Last Meals.” Additionally, viewers can enjoy Jubilee’s “Odd One Out” and “Ranking,” FunnyMike’s “Mr. Creepy Eyes,” Watcher’s “Ghost Files” and “Puppet History,” as well as Dan and Riya’s “Beverly Valley High.”

Tubi further proves its commitment to empowering aspiring filmmakers with its inaugural Tubi Film Festival. This new work takes their earlier program, “Stubios”, which invited creators to share their original work. This artistic shift towards multidisciplinary creators speaks to Tubi’s dedication to expanding its catalog and reaching an even more diverse audience.

The streaming giant has been trying to build its library. It plans to onboard more creators over the coming weeks and add thousands of new videos to come. This strategy enhances Tubi’s content variety. This is a boon to the platform’s efforts to level the playing field in what’s becoming an increasingly competitive and fast-paced streaming ecosystem.
