Sett, a Tel Aviv-based startup that’s just emerged from stealth mode, aims to change all that. From artificial intelligence (AI) agents that will shake up the entire mobile gaming landscape, they’ve capitalized on $27 million in funding. Founded in 2022 by CEO Amit Carmi and CTO Yoni Blumenfeld, Sett seeks to address one of the most significant challenges in the mobile gaming industry: gaining visibility in a saturated market.
The company’s disruptive approach has it developing new breed AI agents uniquely tailored to supercharging game publisher marketing. By adopting these AI-powered solutions, Sett hopes to make it easier and more efficient to develop and market mobile games – on both sides of the coin. This dual functionality might be the breakthrough developers need to cut through the noise and reach potential new players.
Sett’s recent funding round would later include a $15 million Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Until then, the firm had raised $12 million in seed funding. It has since gone on to raise a $6M round with notable investments from F2 and Bessemer, along with several other contributions from the game industry’s famed angel investors. Sett plans to use the new round of capital to expand its team. First, they plan on hiring 800 engineers, which should move their AI and smart products development much faster.
Over 100 gaming studios are currently on Sett’s waiting list, eager to onboard the company’s innovative solutions. The startup’s customer base already features notable names in the industry, including Zynga, Scopely, Playtika, SuperPlay, Rovio, Plarium, Candivore, and Unity. These collaborations point to Sett’s transformative promise on mobile gaming marketing campaigns.
In his keynote, Amit Carmi from Plan A Studios shared an ambitious and exciting vision for the future of game development. He imagines AI agents eventually taking over the whole process, overseeing production and marketing games from beginning to end. This ambition further emphasizes Sett’s focus in using cutting-edge tech to simplify development processes and deliver higher quality games faster.
Sett’s emphasis on solving the biggest pain point of discoverability in the hyper competitive mobile gaming space is especially well timed. As more and more games are released into the market every day, developers are hard pressed to be heard above the crowd. Sett’s AI-driven marketing tools help underrepresented indie studios optimize their marketing content and create more appealing in-game experiences. This helps ensure the games are given the focus they need.
The new company’s website went live just five months ago, officially ushering in the startup’s entry into the federal contracting marketplace. Having recently come out of stealth mode, Sett is clearly ready to make its mark. This decisive step underscores Sett’s ability to shake up the mobile gaming market.
