If you haven’t heard, ServiceNow has recently announced a gamechanging strategic partnership with Anthropic. For example, they’re adapting Anthropic’s AI model, Claude, to ServiceNow’s no-code/low-code intelligent workflow creation ServiceNow Build Agent. This collaboration is a big testament to ServiceNow’s overall commitment to enhancing its generative AI capabilities. It lets developers create very powerful applications and agentic workflows much more efficiently.
Claude will provide default out-of-the-box capabilities to power your ServiceNow Build Agent. This preparation creates opportunities for developers to leverage AI in innovative ways. With this rollout, Claude will now be deployed to ServiceNow’s 29,000 employees. This new access will help maximize their capacity to design groundbreaking solutions and optimize operations.
Along with the Build Agent, Claude will help ServiceNow’s engineers via Claude Code, Anthropic’s dedicated coding product. Through this integration, we hope to bring developers AI-powered tools that make it easier to code and build applications.
Amit Zavery, ServiceNow’s president, COO, and CPO highlighted the company’s tactical depth in decision-making by being the first big entrant to embrace a multi-model strategy for AI. He stated,
“We don’t view these partnerships as competitive or mutually exclusive.” – Amit Zavery
This partnership comes hot on the heels of ServiceNow’s announcement of their own partnership with OpenAI. Overall, it paints a pretty powerful picture of the company’s commitment to embedding advanced generative AI capabilities across its platform. From the outset, ServiceNow has engaged with ambitious industry leaders such as Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, and Snowflake. Such collaborations illustrate how its efforts underscore its commitment to emerging as a major player in the burgeoning AI landscape.
Commenting on the importance of this partnership, Bill McDermott, CEO of ServiceNow, said of this partnership,
“ServiceNow with Anthropic is turning intelligence into action through AI-native workflows for the world’s largest enterprises.” – Bill McDermott
ServiceNow has significantly deepened its partnership with Anthropic. This new partnership is an expansion of previous agreements, such as a partnership with international insurance company Allianz announced earlier this year. ServiceNow is using its product strengths in concert with Anthropic’s groundbreaking generative AI tools. Together, this strong combination will supercharge experiences for internal teams and external customers alike.
AI is changing at a dizzying speed. ServiceNow’s strategic acquisitions highlight its commitment to leveraging innovative technology to improve workforce productivity and simplify application development. The addition of Claude to ServiceNow Build Agent continues along this path, but it’s still an exciting milestone on what is sure to be a transformational journey.
