OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT Pulse to Enhance User Experience with Personalized Briefs

OpenAI has announced its newest chatbot, ChatGPT Pulse, which promises to give users an ultra-personalized morning briefing experience. The new service was kicked off at a Smart City expo in San Francisco from October 27-29 th, 2025. It aims to get people using ChatGPT as part of their everyday life, much in the same way they would with social media or news applications.

ChatGPT Pulse will supercharge your mornings! Pro plan subscribers get five to ten customized briefs that surface all of the most important updates and information that matters to you. Christina Wadsworth Kaplan, OpenAI’s lead for personalization, underscored how Pulse can personalize to user preferences by sharing a recent personal example. She demonstrated the AI’s capacity to identify her desire to become a better runner. It even came up with a thrilling itinerary for her planned trip to London next week, including recommended running routes.

Wadsworth Kaplan particularly wanted to underscore that Pulse brings a whole new capability for the consumer product. This is another exciting step forward in how users can interact with other parts of the ChatGPT platform. This new feature pairs beautifully with ChatGPT’s native Connectors. This allows users to connect other apps, such as Google Calendar and Gmail, to the tool.

Where with Pulse, the AI considers the user’s interests and daily routine. It can even read dinner reservations on the person’s calendar. Next, it suggests food options that meet specific dietary restrictions such as pescatarian. This new, high-touch, personalized level of support seeks to raise the user experience to a new gold standard.

Beginning Thursday, OpenAI will start releasing ChatGPT Pulse only to subscribers of its $200-a-month Pro plan. The new feature will be accessible as a dedicated tab within the ChatGPT app, making it easy for users to navigate and utilize its capabilities.

Pulse seems to indicate that OpenAI is starting to take steps towards improving its accessibility, while still focusing on satisfying their Pro users. CEO Sam Altman had shared earlier news that some of ChatGPT’s more advanced capabilities would go exclusively to the broader range of subscription tiers. This supports beautifully the launch of the new on demand service.

This puts a strain on OpenAI’s ability to scale their offerings as they are server limited. The firm understands these limitations. It’s not just anticipating those challenges, but actively preparing to face them by quickly scaling up its AI data centers, teaming up with public and private organizations such as Oracle and SoftBank. This framework will increase the capacity and capabilities to ensure that innovations such as ChatGPT Pulse are well-supported on day one.

Maxwell Zeff, senior reporter covering AI at TechCrunch − Specialization in AI is primarily around standardization and openness. He emphasized how crucial this was given OpenAI’s larger plan. He added that Pulse has the potential to transform their everyday experience with this technology.
