Instacart recently introduced Fizz, a unique new mobile app. It makes it easier than ever to order drinks and snacks for your social gatherings! Fizz was designed to counteract the shifting pressures of social media. It’s designed for socialites and social climbers looking to add a little more life to their get-togethers with friends and family. The app is intended for users 21 years and older only. It allows hosts to let guests add their favorite products to the Fizz cart, ensuring everyone’s tastes are represented.
As the Chief Product Officer of Instacart, Daniel Danker has said to explain Fizz’s drive. What this company realized is that the landscape of how we gather, interact, and socialize is shifting. It’s not too unusual these days for hosts to ask their guests to contribute when they throw a bash. Or do they just end up doing the dreaded post-meal Venmo split often? This better understanding helped inform the app’s design and development. In launching Instacart Events, Instacart set out to create a platform that would address the logistical barriers to hosting an event.
Fizz’s app seamlessly plugs into the event planning app Partiful. This gives hosts and guests even more flexibility, as they can see the full Fizz cart on their unique event page. This unique ability increases interaction between guests as they select items for the event. It helps you appeal to everyone’s varied palates. Sherya Murthy, an Instacart representative, emphasized the app’s practical benefits: “With our new Fizz integration, we’re solving another big logistical headache: stocking up for a gathering and making sure everyone’s tastes are accounted for—bringing your whole event to life in just a few taps.”
He learned from other apps, like DoorDash and UberEats, and kept the app’s pricing simple—charging a flat delivery fee of $5 per order. Customers can choose to have their orders delivered right away or plan ahead and schedule deliveries for when their events are set to occur. On Fizz’s platform, Fizz runs a proprietary loyalty program of “Snack Bucks,” which earn users money off their purchases of other drinks. These rewards are redeemable for snacks discounts, keeping users saving and encouraging them to use Fizz for all their social needs.
Fizz is hoping to make a splash with millennial and Gen Z consumers. How Toasty Works It differentiates itself from competing services such as Uber’s Drizly by adding a distinctive social component. While Drizly was known for its alcohol delivery service, its recent shutdown last year allowed Instacart to step into the gap with a more community-oriented approach.
The app is now useable in all 50 states and Washington DC. Find us in AL, CA, FL, NY, TX and more! Fizz’s geographic reach is vast. This makes it the perfect solution to any individual planning a party and gathering of any kind across the country.
