Google Unveils New AI Tools to Enhance Productivity and Collaboration

Overall, Google has injected its suite of applications with a host of innovative new features that promise to boost productivity and collaboration capabilities even further. The company unveiled the collaborative image editing model, Nano Banana, and new Google Slides capabilities powered by Gemini. Alongside these updates, Google launched tools that allow users to share custom AI assistants, dubbed Gems, with team members, further streamlining work processes.

In NotebookLM, Google introduced new formats for presenting information. These improvements continue to provide a seamless experience for users in cataloging and controlling their Notes. On that front, the company overhauled its artificial intelligence video tools inside Google Vids, which helped create smarter and simpler AI video creation tools.

The improvements to Google’s services happen to line up with the upcoming addition of a Gemini-powered feature called Help me schedule. This new tool uses the exciting power of Gemini’s AI. It recommends the optimal meeting time based on the implied availability found within the context of your email. The personalized assistant We designed the personalized assistant specifically for one-on-one meetings. It takes a look at your recent communication and suggests time slots that best match your schedule.

So when a user composes an email to schedule a meeting with someone and asks their assistant to find a 30-minute slot, the meeting assistant goes to work. It produces recommendations for workable 30-minute blocks. We show these suggested periods even before the end of next week at the latest. That way, they’re guaranteed to always work with your schedule.

Providing a more productive employee through features like “Help me schedule” isn’t the only advantage, as it enables faster, clearer communication between meeting participants. It recommends optimal meeting times right to every participant in the proposed meeting. This allows for streamlined planning and removes the unnecessary scheduling ping pong that is the norm.
