CodeRabbit Secures $60 Million in Series B Funding Valuing the Startup at $550 Million

CodeRabbit is the next-generation AI-driven code review platform. Founded by Harjot Gill in early 2023, it has quickly made its mark by raising $60 million in its Series B funding round. This latest investment brings the company’s valuation to a staggering $550 million. Similarly, Scale Venture Partners consequently participated in the round. NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arms, along with other latecomers, including familiar faces such as returning investor CRV.

Despite launching just over a year ago, CodeRabbit has already made waves in the tech scene. It is the simplest solution that understands your company’s massive codebase, catches bugs, and offers actionable feedback. Companies such as Chegg, Groupon and Mercury have been able to use its services, greatly shortening time lost in the code review process. Already more than 8,000 individual developers have used CodeRabbit’s services, evidence of its rapid rise to prominence in the developer community.

Our startup has proven exceptional success on a monthly 20% growth rate. Codenext CodeRabbit’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) has already crossed the $15 million mark, evidence of its market dominance and leadership position. CodeRabbit has reached an all-time funding of $88 million. This powerful financial support allows the company to take a clear lead in shaping the AI code review landscape.

Gill, who was formerly the CEO of FlexNinja, an observability startup, bought CodeRabbit and has since led its 6,000% growth and expansion. Most importantly, he said, we need to focus on finding out how development teams are starting to use AI tools to improve their workflows.

“We had a team of remote engineers who were starting to adopt AI code generation on GitHub Copilot,” – Harjot Gill

CodeRabbit is a totally independent AI powered code review solution. It places it in direct competition with other bundled offerings from companies such as Anthropic and Cursor. Gill stressed that compared to these alternatives, CodeRabbit offers a much more robust service.

“CodeRabbit is a lot more comprehensive in terms of depth and technical breadth than bundled solutions,” – Harjot Gill

CodeRabbit has a very attractive pricing model starting at only $30/month for independent developers. This makes it unintuitive and challenging to a wide range of users. The platform assists developers in catching typical mistakes in code produced by AI coding assistants. This smart move responds to a pressing talent pipeline need in the industry.
