The trend of using large language models (LLMs) in healthcare is moving at breakneck speed. There’s a good reason the public continues to distrust these technologies. Consumer protection Some industry experts express concern over the ability of LLMs to give misleading or erroneous medical advice. Anthropic’s Claude for Healthcare is aimed at automating administrative tasks, not directly providing medical advice.
The system’s “agent skills” seem like an effective way to mitigate these worries. Claude leads the effort to manage the logistics of delivering medical care and expertise. Simultaneously, it preserves clinicians’ autonomy to make the best clinical decisions.

They express a desire to make Claude a supportive tool that enriches and amplifies current practices in healthcare rather than substituting for human judgment.
