Anthropic Unveils Claude Code Review Tool to Address AI-Generated Code Surge

As an example, Anthropic recently released a code review tool. This new tool, launched as part of the Claude Code initiative, aims to address the booming tide of AI-generated code. Since its launch as a public beta, Claude Code has made history by crossing more than a $2.5 billion run-rate revenue within 30 days. This new tool will better equip developers to meet the challenges posed by the feverish pace of writing code. It’s assisting them in getting past major bottlenecks in the whole shipping process.

Claude Code just got voice mode capability too, making the experience even more conversational. This cutting-edge addition dovetails with Anthropic’s stated mission of creating safer and more productive developer experiences. Cat Wu, Anthropic’s head of product, emphasized the company’s focus on rectifying logical errors rather than merely refining coding style.

The code review feature – that’s just one area that’s coming from a tremendous amount of market demand,” said Wu. The requirement has skyrocketed, thanks to a code-generating game changer, Claude Code. All at once, the community had to swallow this huge bottleneck of pull request reviews.

Luckily, Anthropic has taken the lead in addressing this concern. They launched a new AI-powered reviewer that detects bugs before they reach the software’s production codebase. This reviewer’s superpower comes from the fact that she works quickly because she has several agents working in parallel, all looking at the same code from diverse perspectives. Together, this multi-faceted approach checks multiple boxes to conduct a thorough analysis of any potential areas of concern.

Claude Code Security reinforces and extends this offering with a proven, cutting-edge security analysis. This helps to ensure that the applications built on the platform are highly resilient and secure. Our shiny new code review feature is live! It’s still in research preview for Claude for Teams and Claude for Enterprise customers, however.

This code review service uses a token-based pricing model.

Costs
The costs are determined by the complexity of the code being reviewed. The average cost for a review is between $15 and $25. This affordable price point allows them to be a solution for enterprises who are looking to unlock their path toward development.

Wu noted that Claude Code’s enterprise business has experienced phenomenal growth. We’re proud to share that subscriptions have more than quadrupled since the beginning of the year! “As engineers develop with Claude Code, they’re seeing the friction to creating a new feature decrease, and they’re seeing a much higher demand for code review,” she explained. So that’s why we’re hopeful that with this, we’ll allow enterprises to do more to build faster than they ever could before and with way fewer bugs than they ever did before.”

Claude Code takes off Their timing is perhaps fortuitous for technology companies. Uber, Salesforce and Accenture are already applying it to get ahead of the growing tsunami of pull requests their development activities are creating.
