Rays Power Infra Expands Renewable Energy Footprint with New 300MW Project

Rays Power Infra is shaking up India’s renewable energy space. They recently announced the upcoming commissioning of a new 300MW solar farm in the Indian state of Karnataka. Talent development initiatives such as this one are a key part of the company’s strategy. In addition to helping advance our rich renewable-energy supply, which has grown to an impressive 11.67GWp as of July 31, 2025. The company’s exciting 100% renewable project portfolio includes a variety of innovative wind, solar, and hybrid projects. This combination serves to underscore their deep commitment to clean energy innovation.

The 300MW project in Karnataka is especially interesting from one perspective, as it promises to be commissioned within the three-year timeframe. This project will implement solar modules produced with advanced solar cells supplied by Rays Green Energy. The company, a subsidiary of Rays Power Infra, is in the process of establishing a solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. This facility strengthens the supply chain for solar modules. It certainly helps improve the efficiency and sustainability of ADOT’s projects.

Rays Power Infra’s huge portfolio includes around 1.77GWp of commissioned capacity and 4.03GWp of contracted capacity. The company – which is advancing 3.57GWp of projects in development – is due to start trading on Wednesday. Of these, 2.3GWp are at very advanced stages spread over 13 states and one union territory in India. These projects are pivotal as they are strategically located. Specifically, they want to highlight Rays Power Infra as one of the influential players in the Indian renewable energy sector.

In December 2024, the company entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Rajasthan Government. This agreement will enable them to create a 500MW solar park and reiterate their commitment to growing renewable energies across the country.

“This project will set a new industry benchmark for how renewable power developers and central PSUs can collaborate to deliver large-scale renewable projects in a fast and efficient manner.” – Ketan Mehta

Rays Power Infra’s ability to integrate advanced engineering with comprehensive project development expertise sets it apart in the competitive renewable energy market. Pawan Sharma, a company representative, boasted that this project demonstrates their expertise in cutting-edge engineering. He highlighted their strength in end-to-end project development and execution capabilities.
