Treaty Oak Clean Energy Launches Major Solar Projects in Louisiana

Treaty Oak Clean Energy has launched construction on two utility-scale solar power facilities in Louisiana. This is a big step forward in the state’s renewable energy playing field. The Beekman Solar Project and the Hollis Creek Solar Project are all prepared to make the first impact. Together, they will offer an enormous capacity of 385 megawatts alternating current (MWac) once they go live online.

The Beekman Solar Project, located in Morehouse Parish, has a capacity of 185 MWac. This innovative project achieved financial close in late Nov, 2025. The Hollis Creek Solar Project in Sabine Parish, which has a very high capacity of 200 MWac, cleared its last financing hurdle with unanimous approval from the William P. Both projects are expected to enter commercial operation in the first half of 2027.

Collectively, these solar facilities will produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of about 80,000 homes. These projects will produce lots of clean energy. They will be responsible for paying more than $100 million in state and local taxes during their expected operating lifetimes. They are expected to create approximately 300 jobs during peak construction periods, increasing local employment and job opportunities.

Treaty Oak Clean Energy is working alongside Nextpower, which will supply Nextracker technology for the solar projects. In turn, this innovation will maximize the productivity and capacity of solar plants. That fits right in with Treaty Oak’s mission to lead the adoption of innovative renewable energy solutions.

“Closing the financing for these two projects during a challenging economic year for renewable energy projects underscores our strong business model and commitment to bringing energy independence to states like Louisiana.” – Chris Elrod, Treaty Oak CEO

Elrod was effusive in his praise for his team’s hard work. He thanked financing partners and suppliers for their teamwork in turning these projects into a reality. He reiterated the call to develop a U.S.-based supply chain to better serve their customers.
