The new world-class operating theatre is now finished! This accomplishment is a big win for the new local hospital’s patient-centered health care delivery transformation. The resulting project was further supported by an ambitious £6.5 million budget. This included the installation of a completely new and enclosed floor space situated one level above grade. This creative new build connects across a bustling courtyard, stretching its welcoming frame to improve the hospital’s transformative work.
Alison Coates, the senior operations manager, described the undertaking as ambitious, stating, “To say it was ambitious is an understatement.” Since opening the new facility, the hospital has introduced advanced surgical procedures. That makes the recovery process easier and faster for their patients.
As you can see, the project has already provided some significant benefits. Read how patients are already experiencing better care thanks to the new operating theatres Anil Agarwal, a senior consultant surgeon at the hospital, said he was “very optimistic” about the improvements. He noted, “Patients are already benefitting from the new operating theatres and now patient care and flow will improve with the new recovery area.”
With the new recovery area, patient transitions will be easier, and overall patient care will be improved. We stand dedicated to the improvement of the working conditions for those that work in and with our theatre. These measures will further enhance quality surgical care and help enable a better patient experience.
The development is an impressive example of commitment to healthcare facility modernization and operational efficiencies. As the hospital continues to implement advanced technologies and infrastructure, it positions itself as a leader in patient care within the community.
