The completion of a £6.5 million robotic operating theatre marks a significant advancement in patient care at the local hospital. Consultant surgeon Anil Agarwal assured that patients are feeling the benefits on their operations already from the new operating theatres. These facilities increase operational efficiency and improve recovery processes.
As part of the project, the firm oversaw the building of a completely new wing of the hospital. Perched one level above grade, this new insertion gracefully hovers above a landscaped courtyard. Senior operations manager Alison Coates calls this ambitious plan an “understatement.” It intends to simplify surgical workflows and improve patient satisfaction across the board.
Mr. Agarwar stated that he stressed that with a new recovery area, they will be able to greatly expedite patient care and flow. He said he felt sure of the positive difference this facility will make to patients and staff alike.

The new building section combines state-of-the-art technology with seamless and smart design to offer theatre staff a more functional working environment. Mr. Agarwal concluded by reiterating the importance of these advancements. From a quality standpoint, they enforce the highest standards of care while simultaneously increasing productivity among the surgical suite.
Coates underscored the challenges faced during construction. He noted that delivering on this ambitious project required prayerful attention to detail and unprecedented partnership between city departments. The completion of this new theatre is a huge achievement for the hospital and we’re happy to help celebrate. It also opens the door to expanded surgical capabilities.
