Vestas has recently announced exciting new orders for wind turbine projects in Germany and Poland. Add in these orders, and you get a jaw-dropping 191 megawatts (MW). The contracts are from Uhl Windkraft, Wpd and a consortium of FW LUBIEŃ 1 and Greenvolt Power Group. Though not yet reflected in its Q4 booking, these orders of Vestas took officially booked. This indicates the tremendous pent-up demand for renewable energy solutions across the entire region.
The expected delivery and commissioning of these turbines will occur between Q1 and Q4 of 2027. This timeline is a testimony to Vestas’ dedication to fulfilling an increasing energy demand of European markets and helping achieve sustainability goals across the world.
Details of the Orders
For the Arneburg Sanne project, Vestas is going to supply five V162-6.2MW turbines and one V162-7.2MW turbine. This latest delivery will take the project’s total capacity to 38MW. In addition, another four V162-6.2MW turbines will be delivered for the Reichenbach-Steegen project, adding another 25MW of capacity to the grid.
Additionally, as part of Vestas’ supply agreement, the company is set to deliver six V162-7.2MW turbines for a different project. About the new initiative The company has announced a competitive set-aside for its forthcoming initiative. They will provide three V172-7.2MW turbines, three V162-6.2MW turbines, and one V150-6.0MW turbine for this project. This wide array of turbine models underscores Vestas’ ability to meet the needs of any project scenario.
Long-term Service Agreements
Vestas seems to be supplying all of these projects’ turbines. Moreover, they’re providing service contracts that stretch at least 20 to 25 years. We further classify the contracts into two tiered service levels, AOM 4000 and AOM 5000. These choices ensure that the turbines continue to produce clean, renewable energy for decades at top efficiency.
These service agreements are critical for making sure that energy production is fully optimized. They drastically reduce unplanned downtime and improve the efficiency of the wind farms tremendously.
Recognition and Industry Standing
Vestas’ recent successes go beyond gaining new orders. The company celebrated the hard-won recognition of three Power Technology Excellence Awards for 2025. This nomination is a testament to its leadership in the wind energy sector. This recognition is a testament to Vestas’ relentless pursuit of innovation, excellence and delivering the best possible renewable energy solutions.
With this agreement, Vestas is reinforcing its position as the 800-pound gorilla on the wind turbine market. Last month, the company provided 184 V150-4.5 MW turbines for a wind project in Piauí. These milestones underscore the company’s deep experience and proven ability to deliver large-scale wind energy solutions in a variety of geographic settings.
