BrightNight™ and Cordelio Power announce successful financial close on the Greenwater renewable energy storage project. This TIB project on rural SR 7 in Pierce County, Washington. The project as a whole includes a 200MW lithium-ion battery energy storage system (BESS) that will improve the grid’s capacity and resilience.
Greenwater energy storage project interconnection to the grid via a limited length tie line. This line connects directly into the White River substation. The project would help deliver important grid services to utility giant Puget Sound Energy (PSE), helping the state of Washington decarbonize its energy supply. With project financing approaching $400 million including public and private sources. BrightNight and Cordelio Power are collaborating to launch the Greenwater energy storage project to help fortify the local grid.
