Wonders of the World: Nature’s Majestic Marvels

The planet is filled with awe-inspiring majestic landscapes that hold extraordinary beauty and magic. Canada’s Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world. At the same time, Australia’s Ningaloo Reef enchants visitors with a brilliant kaleidoscope of biodiversity. These awe-inspiring places attract millions of adventurers and nature-lovers each year!

The Bay of Fundy, located between the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in Canada. It is most well-known for being home to the highest tides in the world. Like clockwork, twice daily, the tides rush with force into the bay, putting on one of nature’s grandest displays and attracting onlookers from around the world. Ministers Island is located within this bay. It’s a beautiful calm haven that supports the grandeur of the changing tides and natural ecosystem around it. Here, tourists can see the powerful effects of nature’s rhythms at work as they traverse the coastlines.

Other than in our own country, across the world, Tiwai Island in Sierra Leone is emerging as Sierra Leone’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. This island has one of the most vibrant and diverse cultural heritages in the world. It contains some of the world’s most unique wildlife, including pygmy hippos and endangered chimpanzees. The island’s innovative and passionate conservation work makes a strong case for saving these unique, rare, and precious ecosystems for our children, and their children.

Diving with sharks on Ningaloo Reef

In Western Australia, Ningaloo Reef provides an epic dive paradise. Famed for its intense coral colors and abundant marine life, it offers one of the few opportunities for a multi-day kayak trip. Adventurers of all kinds can paddle down its clear waters, surrounded on both sides by an environment brimming with life.

At the opposite pole, Spirit Island — part of Canada’s national parks — in Alberta’s Jasper National Park, is humbling and beautiful, but deceptively peaceful. Accessible only by boat, this beautiful island offers an inspiring setting to reflect on and appreciate our country’s natural beauty. Visitors are immediately greeted by the breathtaking vistas of nearby mountains and glimmering waterfalls.

In neighboring British Columbia, the jagged Purcell Mountains lure on-foot travelers to their cathedral-like valleys on heli-hiking excursions. These trips provide a breathtaking opportunity to view the spectacular wild country and dramatic landscapes that incredibly few people ever lay eyes on.

Additionally, travelers seeking an unforgettable journey can embark on the Carretera Austral, a scenic road trip route through southern Chile. This remote road brings both adventure and beauty with every twist and turn. It provides an irreplaceable opportunity to experience nature in its most pristine state.
