Now, Google is reshaping that landscape with its Gemini AI application. Rather than stick to the traditional FAQ-like chatbot UI, they’re replacing it with a more customized, dynamic, scrollable feed. To make this experience more user-friendly, we built a new interface that allows us to display suggested prompts next to visually captivating images. This was recently brought to our attention by Android Authority, referring specifically to these improvements in the latest version of the Gemini Android app. Those all-important updates are still not available to the public.
While it takes some getting used to, the redesigned interface has shortcut buttons laid out clearly across the top of the screen. Its buttons go straight to things like “Create Image” or “Deep Research.” In practice, users can customize their creative process by browsing a scrollable feed brimming with unique and intriguing prompt ideas. These fast-fingered hacks increase engagement and ignite imaginations!
Explore the new prompts we’ve highlighted! See such suggestions as “Brainstorm out loud with Live” or “Give me a daily news roundup.” Additional artistic prompts would be “Teleport me to deep space” or “Create a vintage or grunge effect.” As these examples illustrate, Google is trying to please as many user intents as possible.
This change in design is part of a larger trend across technology that has seen designers and engineers competing for user’s attention with captivating experiences. Yet Google is moving away from these static chatbot formats. This update is designed to deliver a more engaging experience with the goal of inspiring users to discover all that the Gemini AI can do.
