Premier Energies Expands Reach with Solar Projects in Benin

Since 1995, Premier Energies has been a pioneering force in the renewable energy industry. Most recently, the firm won significant contracts to provide and install solar power systems in the Republic of Benin in West Africa. Valued at $19.95 million, these contracts strengthen the federal government’s national defense strategy. Their focus is to expand reliable clean energy options across the country. These projects will achieve more than shoring up Benin’s energy infrastructure—they’ll help protect women and children, providing positive returns far beyond the community level.

At home, Premier Energies is currently engaged in installing 750 rooftop solar systems. These systems will not only provide smart district police stations but intelligent schools, smart health centres and smart border surveillance. Alongside this, the company has begun deploying more than 4,400 solar-powered streetlights and 650 solar water heaters across the country. Through this first-of-its-kind initiative, EDI hopes to address sustainable energy solutions that will ultimately enhance safety and quality of life for all residents.

Partnership and Implementation

Premier Energies hasn’t stopped at these projects, though—they’re busy deploying more! In doing so, they are working alongside Benin’s General Directorate of Energy Planning and Rural Electrification, an arm of the Ministry of Energy, Water, and Mines. This partnership underscores the commitment of both parties to advance Benin’s clean energy agenda and enhance access to essential services for its citizens.

Chiranjeev Saluja, the managing director and CEO of Premier Energies, emphasized the importance of these projects for the local communities.

“These projects are expected to enhance community safety, healthcare services, educational infrastructure, and overall energy sustainability in the Republic of Benin.” – Chiranjeev Saluja, Premier Energies managing director and CEO

The collaborative effort aims to ensure that the installations are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting the needs of diverse sectors within the country.

Premier Energies’ Growth Trajectory

After a successful re-start, Premier Energies is strategically adding into Benin. Investors are still reeling from the company’s recent 86 percent year-over-year quarterly revenue jump. During the first quarter of FY26, CLX reached a dramatic half billion-dollar milestone. It posted a consolidated net profit growth of 55.3% at Rs3.07 billion ($35 million). Moreover, net sales increased by 9.9% YoY to Rs18.2bn against Rs16.57bn in the same period last year.

According to Saluja, illustrative of these contracts are examples not of the company’s sales promise but its execution. Its operational capabilities underscore its competitiveness in the global playing field.

“The contract award represents a strong endorsement of our operational capability and global competitiveness.” – Chiranjeev Saluja, Premier Energies managing director and CEO

Story of financial success written by Premier Energies. This success comes as no surprise given its commitment to growing globally and addressing key energy demands in developing economies.

Commitment to Clean Energy

On the business front, Premier Energies is going after innovative projects to increase clean energy availability. This important initiative is one small part of a more ambitious effort by the technical government of Benin. Through investing in solar technology for new and existing infrastructure, Benin hopes to lessen reliance on nonrenewable energy sources to create a more sustainable future.

Together, these initiatives play an important role in creating economic opportunity and improving quality of life in communities all across America. Through these developments, Premier Energies is continuing to build strategic partnerships while creating effective solutions. Through these initiatives, the firm is poised to lead the charge in Benin’s energy transition.
