Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, is known for his brutally honest opinions about where technology is headed and he’ll be sharing plenty of them in his keynote session. We all know Khosla’s candid, blunt, no-bullshit approach. First off, I’d expect him to focus on these new technologies and the new challenges that they will pose. Discussions on Future Technologies
While AI will provide a common thread through the conference, we’re looking forward to diving into other exciting topics, including autonomous vehicles. To give us an update on the state of autonomous driving technology, we’ll be joined by Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo. Her perspectives will help attendees understand the state of the art and where things are going in this fast moving arena.
Elizabeth Stone will explain how the company is adapting and working to thrive in the age of AI. Streaming services, like all platforms, are under tremendous competitive pressure. His experience makes him uniquely qualified to share those lessons on how to grow and innovate while remaining competitive and relevant.
Startup Battlefield Competition
One of the undisputed highlights of TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 is the Startup Battlefield competition. The winning startup will take home an equally-dazzling trophy – a check for $100,000! This popular competition provides a platform for budding companies to present their cutting-edge concepts. Most importantly, it gives them valuable exposure to investors and industry leaders.
The judges for this year’s Startup Battlefield include notable figures such as Aileen Lee, Kirsten Green, Kevin Hartz, and Kevin Rose. Their background in venture capital and entrepreneurship will help facilitate a thorough and detailed due diligence process for all participating startups. Beyond showcasing innovation, the competition helps create connections that benefit the broader tech ecosystem.
