Rocket.new Revolutionizes Application Development with $15 Million Funding

Rocket.new, one of India’s first vibe-coding startups, recently raised $15 million. This phenomenal milestone was led by well-known investors Accel and Salesforce Ventures. The firm is doing some pretty groundbreaking things when it comes to developing applications. They bootstrapped their way to half a million applications built and a user base that includes product managers, solopreneurs, and front end developers.

It’s current user base of 400,000 users is nonetheless significant, with users in over 180 countries. This extraordinary extent has established its place as an unmatched leader in low-code app development. The company currently has more than 10,000 paid subscribers and is on track for $4.5 million in annual recurring revenue—a remarkable feat. Rocket.new is aiming for $20 to $25 million in revenue by the end of this year. In any case, they plan to ramp it up even further—to somewhere between $60 million and $70 million—by June of next year.

Rocket.new also features a free trial up to one million tokens, giving users the opportunity to test its capabilities without any upfront financial commitment. Monthly subscriptions begin at $25 for five million tokens, offering an entry level that is affordable for both hobbyists and enterprises. The company’s current 50%-55% gross margin makes that appear unlikely. We’re planning to raise this amount to 60%—perhaps even 70%—in the months ahead.

The United States is Rocket.new’s biggest market, making up more than a quarter of its revenue. Europe is a very distant second, but still a major revenue source, at 15% to 20% and India is around 10%. Among its users, a clear 45% is focused on mobile application build, the rest 55% are doing website development. This is significant because of the users of Rocket.new, 80% are dedicated to the creation of “serious” applications. It’s because they aren’t just building brochureware landing pages or branding sites.

With Rocket.new, you can quickly scaffold an application to get started. In fact, the average user completes their first project in under 25 minutes! The platform’s data-driven, community-focused approach sets it apart from other competitors such as Lovable and Bolt. Vishal Virani, co-founder of Rocket.new, emphasizes this distinction by stating, “Our underlying architecture is completely different from what Lovable, Bolt, and everyone is doing.”

Rocket.new does a lot more than authoring code. It firsthand encourages grantees that are ready to scale their products to do so in the right ways. Virani explains this vision further: “We are building the first vibe solution platform, which is not solving just a problem of day one, but what we are focusing on is solving the problem of day two.”

Kartik Gupta, another co-founder, highlights the gap Rocket.new addresses in the market: “We saw a clear gap between the magic of AI code generation and the reality of making that code production-ready.” This statement reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering not just code generation but the tools necessary for successful product deployment and scaling.

As Rocket.new grows and attracts investment, it is committed to staying ahead of the curve when it comes to innovating within the application development space. By providing users with powerful tools and support, the startup is poised to significantly impact how applications are built and scaled in today’s digital landscape.
