Hudson Partners with NextNRG to Transform US Energy Infrastructure

Hudson is a collaborative collective made up of three strategic partners, including NextNRG, which have come together to solve complex challenges affecting the country’s energy infrastructure. In addition to strategic technical assistance, the collaboration provides Hudson with preferential access to funding for select projects under NextNRG’s growing portfolio of services. Smart and resilient power solutions are increasingly in demand, said Michael D. Farkas, founder and CEO of NextNRG. This new initiative is a direct response to that increasing demand.

The collaborative is focused on using Hudson’s deep experience within the clean energy transition. This isn’t Hudson’s first time supporting the clean tech ecosystem. These are just a few examples including Recurrent Energy, Sunlight Financial, Powermat, and Landis + Gyr. These experiences make Hudson the ideal partner to help NextNRG achieve its mission of scaling AI-optimised, distributed energy infrastructure.

Strategic Agreement and Funding

At the core of this ongoing partnership is a complex master framework agreement between Hudson and NextNRG. Under this deal, Hudson gets the first crack at federal financing for several layers of projects. As new opportunities come into NextNRG’s growing pipeline, Hudson will receive preferred consideration. Fewer players in the design-build train. This structure should help accelerate project delivery and make sure that public resources are being spent wisely.

Hudson’s energy assets portfolio is full of wonderful projects. These projects run the gamut, from solar energy production to battery storage systems, microgrids, and wireless EV charging technology. It’s this diverse portfolio that allows Hudson to support the exciting and groundbreaking initiatives like NextNRG’s work.

This new partnership heads both companies in the same direction. Collaboratively, they’ll produce a cleaner energy future and meet the growing demand for innovation, smart infrastructure, and technology.

Focus on Innovation

Hudson’s collaborative work with NextNRG highlights the reality that innovation is vital to the ever-changing energy landscape. As Farkas noted, “This partnership with Hudson enhances our ability to scale AI-optimised, distributed energy infrastructure at a time when demand for smarter, more resilient power solutions is accelerating.” This statement highlights the urgent need for advanced systems that can meet the evolving energy demands of both today and future generations.

AI integration into the country’s energy infrastructure is predicted to cut costs and ramp up reliability. Collaboration is key, and the partnership uses technology to develop next-generation systems. These systems will be able to respond to the dynamic and evolving needs of energy use.

Neil Auerbach, a key figure in the collaboration, remarked on the potential impact of NextNRG’s technology: “Michael is a pioneer in EV charging and a seasoned entrepreneur. The technology under the hood at NextNRG is breathtaking in its scope and potential. We look forward to assisting the company in monetising both its IP and downstream portfolios.”
