Subaru Introduces Trailseeker, Its New All-Electric SUV Targeting Outdoor Enthusiasts

Subaru has officially taken the wraps off of their newest all-electric SUV, the Subaru Trailseeker. Jeep created this vehicle in part to woo outdoor enthusiasts looking for a more eco-friendly alternative. Designed to navigate diverse terrains, the Trailseeker boasts an advanced driver assistance system, a compatible North American Charging Standard port for seamless access to the Tesla Supercharging Network, and a powertrain that promises an impressive range and towing capacity.

The Trailseeker’s design embodies Subaru’s dedication to versatility and go-anywhere, do-anything fashion. The new vehicle features an independent suspension and electronic all-wheel drive system. Subaru engineers have extensively tested and smartly calibrated these features to provide precise performance in all conditions. With 8.3 inches of ground clearance, the vehicle is tailored for adventurous outings while maintaining a lower profile than the gas-powered Subaru Forester and Outback models.

Dimensionally, the Trailseeker comes in roughly half a foot longer and almost an inch taller than the Solterra. This new design opens up a more expansive interior and bigger cargo space for all your adventure equipment. Redesigned exterior with new headlamps and new front bumper offer fresh, modern aesthetic and improve functionality. The SUV can be had with 20-inch or 18-inch wheels, both of which add to its mean and aggressive look.

The entire environment of the Trailseeker is focused on comfort, convenience and connectivity. It features a 14-inch touchscreen—the largest offered in any Subaru model, aside from the all-new 2026 Solterra coming soon. Those sharp metallic finishes that run along the dash? The same pretty 14-inch display is used for the infotainment system, conspicuously including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Now drivers can easily access their favorite apps while on the move! The backseat has two wireless 15W smartphone chargers. It boasts two speedy USB-C ports too, keeping passengers cool and connected on those long haul journeys.

This pioneering and environmentally sustainable SUV is powered by a high-performance 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery. Plus, it provides a stunning driving range of more than 260 miles on one charge. The rTrailseeker features dual motors with 375 hp available. This power really comes in handy for towing of up to 3,500 pounds, making it a must have for adventure seekers who can tow trailers or more great outdoor equipment.

Subaru has committed to having the Trailseeker fully assembled in Japan, where quality control and high manufacturing standards can be maintained across the entire production process. The company aims to solidify its presence in the all-electric market while catering to customers who prioritize sustainability and outdoor exploration.
